The jury trial that was set for February 2nd (see “Handley Case Set for February 2nd”) in the case against Christopher S. Handley, who has been charged with possession of child pornography for possessing “obscene manga” (see “Yaoi Manga in Manga Child Porn Case”), has been postponed.  The trial may be moved to the last two weeks in March, though no firm date has been set yet.

The reason given for the postponement of the trial was for “convenience of counsel.”  The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is providing the manga and First Amendment expertise crucial to Handley’s Defense.  Donations can be made here.  A new signed print by famed artist Peter Kuper will be given to any donor who contributes over $25 by February 8th.
