Dark Horse Comics will unveil its long term digital strategy at its Friday afternoon panel at the New York Comic Con, but ICv2 has learned one key bit of information concerning the publisher’s plans.  Dark Horse will be pricing its digital comics 50 cents below the industry average of $1.99 per single issue.  Stay tuned for more details on Dark Horse’s digital strategy and to see how other publishers respond to Dark Horse’s $1.49 price per digital issue.


Dark Horse is one of the last of the major comic publishers to reveal its plans for the digital side of the comics publishing business, but it appears that the Portland, Oregon-based publisher is intent on coming up with a comprehensive and original approach to the burgeoning digital market.
