CBLDF and DC Entertainment will host a celebration honoring Geoff Johns’ Green Lantern on Friday, May 24th at the Avalon Bardot Theater in Hollywood. Limited to 100 seats, the event will include a Q&A session with keynote appreciation by Jeph Loeb, a star-studded VIP opening reception, and commemorative merchandise from Graphitti Designs.
There are two levels of admission available: general admission ($100) and VIP admission ($250). Regular ticket holders receive admission to the Q&A, a gift bag with a signed & numbered print from Graphitti Designs, a signed and authenticated copy of Green lantern #20, and other gifts. VIP ticket holders also receive admission to the VIP opening reception, a commemorative t-shirt from Graphitti Designs, a copy of Absolute Green Lantern: Rebirth with commemorative bookplate, as well as all the perks regular ticket holders receive. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit CBLDF.
Johns began writing Green Lantern with 2004’s Green Lantern: Rebirth, and over the next eight years created a whole new universe of characters and worlds, recasting the Green Lantern mythos into one of the most important DC franchises in the last decade. As previously announced (see "Geoff Johns Ankles 'Green Lantern'"), Johns will conclude his run with Green Lantern #20 in May.
