Jay Bardyla of Happy Harbor Comics in Edmonton (Alberta), Canada comments on the Darwyn Cooke variants coming December from DC.
Unlike Jim (see "Jim Crocker of Modern Myths on 'Darwynian Selection'"), I assumed that the Darwyn Cooke "variant" covers that DC comics is offering in December would be like all the past month's DC variants--order as many as you like (such as it was with the "Selfie" variants, "Batman 75th Anniversary" variants, and the others). I didn't see anywhere in the ICv2 article (see "Darwyn Cooke Draws 23 Variant Covers for DC") that said they would be 1:25 variants.
If these are order as many you like, as the previous ones were, then you can take these much needed fun, playful, stunning covers and substitute them for the "regular" versions you would normally order and attract some readers back into the fold, as we intend to do.
