Cryptozoic Entertainment has announced the March 5th release of the Castle Seasons 1 & 2 Trading Cards, which are based on the popular ABC TV detective series that has already spawned several graphic novels from Marvel, a series of mystery novels, and an upcoming card game from Cryptozoic (see "'Castle: The Detective Card Game'").

 

The base set of the Castle Seasons 1 & 2 Trading Cards features episodic images from Seasons 1&2. There are three sets of chase sets, "Scene of the Crime," "Character Bios," and Behind the Scenes.  Each of the chase sets has an insertion rate of 1 card per every 12 packs. Each pack of Castle Seasons 1 & 2 Trading Cards contains 5 cards and carries an MSRP of $3.50.

 

Highly prized insert cards include "autographs" (1 per every 24 packs), "wardrobe cards" (1 per every 18 packs), and "dual wardrobe cards" (1 per every 57 packs) that come with actual swatches of series-worn costumes.  Confirmed signers of autograph cards include Nathan Fillion, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever, Susan Sullivan, Tamala Jones, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Dana Delany, Arye Gross, Scott Paulin, Michael Truco, Juliana Dever, and Monet Mazur.
