This August, Fantagraphics will release Comics Journal #262 in its new format, featuring more pages, more color, better paper stock and a new design.  This issue, with a cover by Alex Toth and an examination of his life and work by Bob Levin, along with thirty pages of Toth's rare comics, will be 192 pages, 64 in color, for $9.95.  All these changes, including expanded news and commentary, as well as a comics section,follow the hiring of the new editor (see 'Dirk Deppey to Edit the Comics Journal').

 

Also this August, Fantagraphics will publish Locas:  A Love & Rockets Book, by Jaime Hernandez, which will collect all the Maggie and Hopey stories from the first Love & Rockets series.  This heavy-duty volume will be 780 pages and retail for $49.95, making it even bigger than its massive sister Love & Rockets collection, Palomar.
