Marvel has revealed the connective tissue between the three new titles it announced last week: a retooled Avengers, building on the individual titles. Marvel also released a new image of the Avengers with what looks like a new Avengers line-up featuring the new female Thor (see "New Female Thor"), Sam Wilson as Captain America (see "Marvel Launching New 'Cap' Series"), and an Iron Man with the personality of young Tony Stark (see "'Superior Iron Man' Brings Back the Ego"). The lineup also appears to be shifting in other ways; Doctor Strange, for example, is hovering over the group.
"Avengers NOW! is the start of a Marvel Universe like you’ve never seen before," Marvel EIC Alex Alonso said, referring to "massive changes coming to some of our biggest characters."
This is the latest iteration of Marvel’s "NOW!" campaigns, which began with Marvel NOW!, progress to All New Marvel NOW!, and is now follwed with Avengers NOW!.
