Asmodee Editions will release Colt Express, a new historic train-robbing board game, in November.

Set in 1899, players take the role of bandits out to rob the Union Pacific Express, which is transporting a Coal Company’s payroll as well as several well-to-do passengers.  The goal of the outlaws is to maneuver around the train, stealing the most loot and avoiding Marshal Samuel Ford, as well as other thieving bandits, who will happily shoot and rob each other.

Players plot their moves for each round ahead of time with action cards, then carry out the actions in order as they maneuver their pawns around the train.  They can move from train car to train car, climb to the roof, punch (or shoot) other bandits, rob passengers, or tangle with the Marshal.  Each bandit card has a special power (starting with an extra card, playing the first card face down, etc.) adding to game differentiation.  Whoever has the most loot at the end of the game wins.

The box contains 6 3D train cars, a locomotive, 10 terrain elements, loot tokens, 17 round cards, 13 neutral bullet cards, 36 bullet cards, 60 action cards, loot tokens, 6 character cards, a marshal pawn, 6 bandit pawns, and rules.  The game is for 2-6 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 40 minutes.  MSRP is $39.99.
