At the New York Anime Festival Del Rey Manga announced three new shojo manga series that will debut in 2010 as well as a Rave Master omnibus edition that will combine the final three volumes of the 35-volume series.  Tokyopop published the first 32 Rave Master volumes before losing the license (see “No More Kodansha Manga for Tokyopop”).

The first of the three new shojo manga to appear in 2010 will be Yokai Navi Runa, which is due in May.  Three volumes of the ongoing series by Michiyo Kikuta, the creator of Mamotte! Lollipop, have appeared in Japan so far.  Yokai Navi Runa is supernatural fantasy about a teenage girl with a magical braclet.

Here I Am
The other two new shojo series are due out in the fall of 2010 starting with Here I Am (Koko ni Iru Yo!), a five-volume completed series from the creator of Pixie Pop (published here by Tokyopop).  Here I Am is a realistic school romance about a shy girl falling in love for the first time.

Arisa
In November Del Rey will release the first volume of Arisa, a new series from manga-ka Natsumi Ando, the creator of the Top 10 shojo manga series Kitchen Princess (also published by Del Rey).  Arisa, with its dramatic and mystery elements, is a more serious manga about two teenage twin girls who have been separated by the divorce of their parents.
