First announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Nowhere Men #1 from Image Comics is scheduled for release November 21st. Written by Image publisher Eric Stephenson (Long Hot Summer), with art by Nate Bellegrade (Brit), Nowhere Men is an ongoing series that posits a futuristic world in which scientists are akin to rock stars in terms of both cultural impact and popularity.
The scientists the series focuses on--the Fab Four of the microscope set, if you will--include Dade Ellis, Simon Grimshaw, Emerson Strange, and Thomas Walker, who form the research group, World Corp. Unfortunately, despite changing the world and rising to unprecedented fame in their field, the scientists hit a major stumbling block. In short, everything goes wrong.
Each issue in this full-color series is 32 pages long, costs $2.99, and is free of advertisements. For those of you wanting a sneak peak at Nowhere Men, pick up a copy of The Walking Dead #102 (on sale now), which contains a three-page preview.
