NYCC News: Dynamite Entertainment announced today that it had renewed the license to create based on the classic Battlestar Galactica TV series.  Dynamite has tapped veteran sci-fi specialist comic book scribes Andy Lanning and Dan Abnett (Legion of Superheroes, Guardians of the Galaxy) to write the new series, which will represent the duo’s first work for Dynamite. 

 

Next year will represent the 35th Anniversary of the original Battlestar Galactica TV series on NBC, so it is the perfect time for Dynamite to re-launch it, and with Abnett and Lanning handling the writing, Dynamite’s Nick Barrucci believes he has found the perfect creators for the project that "they were meant to write."
