Norma Editorial is shopping Malefic Time, a transmedia property created by Luis Royo, for release in the U.S. The property has been released as an illustration book, a music CD, a novel, and a manga-style graphic novel (Malefic Time: Soum, with art by Kenny Ruiz) in Spain, Italy, and France. The property has been licensed for figures by Yamato. A live action music video was produced to promote the graphic novel. Additional illustration books and graphic novels are planned.
Royo had previously been published in the U.S. by Heavy Metal, which is no longer publishing books.
The story is set during the days of Final Judgment in the year 2038, and follows Malefic, a powerful young woman with a mysterious past.
