Asmodee has announced three new games for May release: Unita, Desperados of Dice Town, and the expansion Archipelago: War & Peace.

Designed by Steve Bruck, Unita is a civil war dice game set in the fantasy land of Helvetia, where players control armies represented by dice and move their soldiers to gather more powerful warriors and claim the throne.  Each player has control of unique powers to add to variety and replay.

The box contains 64 dice (16 each of green, yellow, red and blue), 12 terrain tiles (3 of each color), 12 power cards (3 per faction), a first player marker, a double-sided game board, and rules.  The game is for 2 – 4 players, age 13 and up, and plays in an hour.   MSRP is $49.99.

Set in the world of Dice Town, and designed by the same team (Ludovic Maublanc and Bruno Cathala), Desperados of Dice Town is a standalone game of risk-taking, strategy and timing.  Players are outlaw leaders, attempting to spring their gang from jail and send them after foes, before they do the same.

The box contains 4 gangs of desperados, 4 specialized dice, 29 cards, $200 in poker chips, and 4 gang cards.  The game is for 2 - 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 25 minutes.  MSRP is $24.99.

An expansion for Christophe Boelinger’s civilization and exploration game, Archipelago: War & Peace adds new challenges and opportunities to the base game.  Players can rescue Robinson Crusoe, imprison unruly natives, or challenge the corrupt governor as they maneuver through the game.  There are new evolution and character cards, as well as three new play modes. As an expansion, it does require the Archipelago base game to play.

The box contains 40 cards, a tray to hold all progress cards from the base game as well as expansion cards (including sleeved cards), and a rulebook.  The game is for 2 – 5 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 30 min – 4 hours.  MSRP is $24.99.
