San Diego Comic-Con News: Today at Comic-Con Microsoft is unveiling the first trailer for Halo: Nightfall, a five-episode TV series that will debut in November on the Xbox Live network, and will also be included in the Halo: Master Chief collection. The five episode series is set between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians.
Halo: Nightfall exemplifies the many different media outlets for pop culture programming that include, in addition to network and cable TV, subscription services like Netflix as well as gaming networks like Xbox Live, which recently announced six new programming initiatives with creators that include comic industry vets like Chuck Dixon, Warren Ellis, and Jorge Zaffino (see "Xbox Announces Originals").
There is already plenty of Halo merchandise available including comics from Dark Horse (see "Dark Horse Gets a 'Halo'") and games from USAopoly (see "USAopoly Toy Fair Announcements").
