Fantagraphics Books has announced a 10-book series collecting the comics of the Italian master of eroticism Guido Crepax, beginning in November with Crepax: Dracula, Frankenstein, and Other Horror Stories.

Crepax is best known for his character Valentina, a composite of Louise Brooks, Anna Karina, and his wife.  His stories starring the strong, independent, sensual Valentina helped legitimize erotic Eurocomics as a medium.  His pop art and psychedelic surrealism-inspired graphics also had a strong influence on fashion, architecture, and the French New Wave.
