Iello continues to expand its line of family-friendly games with Medieval Academy in June, and Kabuki in September.

Medieval Academy is "push your luck" card game designed around a card drafting mechanic.  Players take on the role of young squires competing to earn the most "Chivalry Points" in a variety of knightly categories, which is accomplished by drafting cards over six rounds of play.  The game comes with a number of playing variants built in.

Medieval Academy was designed by Nicolas Poncin and illustrated by Piero.  It is for two to five players, ages 13 and up, and plays in about 30 minutes.  MSRP is $39.99.

Kabuki is a memory game based on the famous Japanese traditional theater.  Cards illustrated by Naiade and featuring Kabuki masks are placed in a number of piles.  Players must try to remember which masks are in which piles so they can stop play as soon as a pile has a pair of matching masks.  It was originally released under the name Illusion by Deinko Games of Korea.

Kabuki was designed by Hope S. Hwang (designer of Guildhall).  It is for two to six players, ages six and up, and plays in about 20 minutes.  MSRP is $14.99.

These two new games join a busy upcoming release season for Iello, including both family fare (see "Iello Reveals 2015 Games") and more sophisticated “gamer” games (see "Iello Announces Summer Releases").
