Cubicle 7 has announced plans to release a new edition of its best selling roleplaying game, Doctor Who:  Adventures in Time and Space.  Print copies of the new edition, called simply The Doctor Who Roleplaying Game, are expected to begin shipping before the end of the year, and a PDF version is now on sale.

The new rulebook features the current Doctor from the hit BBC television program, with images taken from the latest season.  The material has also been updated to reflect the Doctor’s most recent adventures.  The rules will still be compatible with all Doctor Who supplements already published by Cubicle 7.

The 256-page full color hardcover includes complete game rules, character creation rules, and guidelines for creating adventures.  Pre-generated character sheets for the Twelfth Doctor, Clara Oswald, Danny Pink, Madame Vastra, Jenny, and Strax are also included, as are complete rules and background information on the Doctor’s enemies.  To get players started, two complete adventures are also in the book.  MSRP is $49.99.

Cubicle 7 explains that the name change was intended to help clarify that the new game is an RPG, and to separate it from the other Doctor Who games they are planning to release, such as the Doctor Who:  Dalek Dice game (see “‘Doctor Who’ Villains Get Their Own Game”).
