New York Comic Con Week brought another round of project scheduling and release date "dibs" from Marvel Studios, Pixar, and Disney;  and now Legendary and Warner Bros. are making an enormous announcement about their upcoming Godzilla vs. King Kong feature.

Legendary and Warner Bros. had already scheduled 2017’s Kong: Skull Island (see “Best in Shows--Q1 2017”), and Godzilla 2 (see “Best in Shows--Q2 2018”), now it has announced Godzilla vs. Kong will be released in 2020.

The upcoming live-action Tarzan feature from Warner Bros.,  scheduled for July 1 release (see “Best in Shows--Q3 2016”), may be bumped soon, according to THR. While filming is in the can, post-production is not; and after the studio’s major loss on Pan, they think the film needs considerable work to be done, but director David Yates has already started shooting Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

As previously reported, Marvel Studios claimed a number of new dates in 2020 for untitled projects (see “Marvel Announces 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' Movie”) and shifted around several other films.  Pixar also announced The Incredibles 2, while reserving more dates and shifting other sequels around (see “'Incredibles 2' Slated for June 21, 2019”).  Disney also claimed several dates for “Live Action” fairy-tale reimaginings, and earmarking others for other untitled animated projects.
