Action Lab Entertainment (ALE) has announced a restructuring which will coincide with current President Kevin Freeman stepping down and assuming a smaller, more specialized role within the company.

Freeman will be succeeded by Dave Dwonch, one of the founders of Action Lab, current Creative Director, and author  of Vamplets. “I’m excited and energized at the prospect of leading the team,” Dwonch said. “Thanks to the hard work of Kevin and everyone at ALE, we’ve established Action Lab as the best independent comics company on the market. Expect even bigger things from Action Lab in 2016 and beyond."

Freeman announced he was stepping down on his Facebook page, and that he was “wanting to take a step back from the industry in general and pursue other things, including spending more time with my family and perhaps dipping my toes in the creative side of things again.”  Freeman is an 18-year comic industry veteran who came to ALE as the former managing editor of Ape Entertainment.

“Kevin, thank you for all that you have done to help shape Action Lab over the past years, enjoy your well deserved break,” Publisher Bryan Seaton said. “Just don't take too long, we still have a lot of work to do together in your new role as Editor.”
