Japanime Games will bring Yoka Games’ Naruto Shippuden the Board Game to English language markets in Spring 2016.  In the cooperative game, players take the role of one of the main characters from the series  fighting to save the world from the Akatsuki.  Three levels of play and a large variety of enemies give the game high replayability. MSRP is $50.00.

Naruto Shippuden is the second half of the once-dominant manga series and related anime.  The series is still #4 in American manga (see “Top 10 Manga Franchises – Fall 2015”), and placed volumes in the Top 20 Graphic Novels for the book channel just last month (see “February 2016 BookScan – Top 20 Adult Graphic Novels”).

This is the second Japanese game for which Japanime has announced English editions in the past two weeks (see “Japanime Brings ‘Heart of Crown’ Stateside”).

Japanime promises more games from Yoka, the new games division of Tsume Art, which produces licensed resin statues for such licenses as One Punch Man, Saint Seiya, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Soul Eater, One Piece and Assassin’s Creed.  “We look forward to future collaborations with Yoka and to help them take advantage of the licenses they have,” Japanime President Eric Price said.
