Game designer Tim Fowers (Burgle Bros., Wok Star) has created a two-player deduction card game called Fugitive, releasing this December.

In Fugitive, one player is the fugitive himself, trying to get out of town with his hard-stolen loot.  The other is the marshal, and her job is to track him down and trap him before he can make good his escape.  The game is played with 42 numbered hideout cards, each uniquely illustrated by Ryan Goldsberry (Burgle Bros., Wok Star).  The fugitive must use his cards to bluff and escape, while the marshal uses hers to deduce the fugitive’s hideouts.

The game includes 43 hideout cards, 4 event cards, 2 role cards, and 3 marker cards, as well as a folding gameboard and a laminated notecard and dry-erase marker for the marshal, all packaged in a 6”x 4” box.  Fugitive is for 2 players, and plays in about 10 minutes.

Fowers is funding the project through a Kickstarter campaign, which with 11 days remaining has already broken $112,000 in pledged support from nearly 4,000 backers.  The campaign includes a bulk purchase support option, offering seven copies of the game at a reduced price.

Retailers will be able to order the game direct after backer fulfillment.  MSRP is tentatively set at $25.00.  Release is planned for December.
