Abrams’ SelfMadeHero will release three new graphic novels in October: Dali: Art Masters Series, Ghost Stories of an Antiquary, Vol. 1, and Return of the Honey Buzzard.

Dali: Art Masters Series by Edmond Baudoin tells the story of the great surrealist painter Salvador Dali. Baudoin introduces readers to a man known as much for his talent for self-promotion as for his extraordinary and eccentric work. The 160-page paperback has an MSRP of $19.95. Release is planned for October 4.

Ghost Stories of an Antiquary, Vol. 1 is written by M.R. James and adapted by Leah Moore and John Reppion. This adaptation takes four ghost stories from Montague Rhodes James and brings them vividly to life. The book is published on the 80th anniversary of James’s death. The 64-page paperback has an MSRP of $14.95. Release is planned for October 4.

Return of the Honey Buzzard by Aimee de Jongh tells the tale of Simon the bookseller. Sales have declined in the financial crisis, and the book store may have to close. A dejected Simon accidentally witnesses a suicide, which brings to the surface repressed childhood memories. The only bright spot is the chance meeting with Regina, a young girl who begins to provide Simon with the comfort and support he needs. The 160-page hardcover has an MSRP of $22.95. Release is planned for October 11.

SelfMadeHero is also releasing Fionnuala Doran’s The Trial of Roger Casement in September (see “The Story of a Patriot and a Traitor”).
