At the Diamond Retailer Seminar, Dynamite Entertainment revealed artwork for its Wonder Woman ‘77/Bionic Woman series, and announced new Green Hornet and Red Sonja series.

The miniseries crossover Wonder Woman ‘77/Bionic Woman was announced at San Diego Comic-Con (see “ Bionic Woman / Wonder Woman Crossover”). Dynamite has shared covers for the first issue by Alex Ross and Cat Staggs, along with a ‘70s Coloring Book Cover (see images in the gallery below). The series will be written by Andy Mangels (Star Wars, The X-Files), and illustrated by Judit Tondora. The story will see Jamie Sommers and Princess Diana team up to fight the rogue cabal CASTRA who is bent on  causing havoc and stealing deadly weapons.

Amy Chu (Poison Ivy, Infinite Ant-Man, Deadpool) will be writing a new adventure for the She Devil with a Sword, with art by  Carlos Gomez (Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files). The miniseries will launch in December with a 25 cent Red Sonja #0 featuring a cover by Nick Bradshaw, plus two other incentive covers. The series will see Red Sonja awakened from a magical sleep by strange demons. Confused and weaponless she must find a way to defeat the demons, escape her prison and discover where in the world she is.

“I want to represent Red Sonja in the purest way possible,” said Amy Chu.  “She's a warrior, first and foremost. She's familiar with a certain way of life, a certain way of fighting. What if we take that away and put her in a completely new environment where she's forced to adapt? Let's get her out of her comfort zone and see where Red Sonja goes from there!”

Writer Gail Simone applauded the hiring of Amy Chu for the series on Twitter. “If a company known mostly for cheesecake can become a company known for fierce women written by fierce women, I think that's amazing.”

The Green Hornet and Kato return in The Green Hornet: Reign of the Demon. The miniseries will be written by David Liss (Marvel's Mystery Men, and Dynamite's Sherlock Holmes, The Spider, and The Shadow), and drawn by Kewber Baal (KISS). The first issue will feature covers by Ken Lashley and Anthony Marques. The series launches on December 7. The story follows the arrival of two new masked individuals to Chicago. But are they friends or foes of The Green Hornet and Kato?
