Japanime Games is expanding its assortment of Japanese deck-builder games next year with the introduction of Arclight Games’ Dynamite Nurse, scheduled to release at Gen Con 2017. The game is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.

Dynamite Nurse is set in a fantasy world where sexy nurses treat the unusual ailments of adventuring heroes. Players expand their deck by purchasing action cards and nurse cards from the Town, then use their cards to treat the patients that arrive at the temple seeking aid.  Successful treatment earns victory points, but if a nurse’s patient should die, they suffer a penalty, and if a player loses too many they become known as the infamous “Dynamite Nurse.”  Players can also sabotage each other’s efforts using action cards.

Japanime Games is producing both French and English versions of the game, which was originally released in Japan in 2011.  The new version will include new artwork for many of the cards and new promo cards.

The game will include 214 cards and 30 duty markers.  It is intended for 3 to 5 players.  MSRP is $50.00.

The project is being funded through a Kickstarter campaign that reached its $20,000 funding goal in the first two hours.

Next month, Japanime will release the manga-themed card game Terra Formars (see “‘Terra Formars’ Card Game”).
