London-based Modiphius has announced it is partnering with Swedish game company Free League to publish Free League's third international release, Tales from the Loop, a 1980's suburbia science fiction RPG.

Inspired by Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag (Ripple Dot Zero, Searching for Sugarman) virally popular paintings, Tales from the Loop is designed by Nils Hintze (Oktoberlandet) and features teenagers in the late eighties, encountering strange situations and weird creatures in and around The Loop, the world's largest particle accelerator located in pastoral suburbia. Featuring Stålenhag's evocative art, the core book is a full-color hardcover, containing all the rules that are needed to play the game.

A Kickstarter campaign to fund the English edition of the RPG is ending soon in mid-December. Currently, $155,618 from 2,307 backers has been raised (an average of roughly $67.45/backer). Modiphius has scheduled an April 2017 release for retail stores. MSRP has not been announced.

Free League has previously published two English RPGs, Coriolis – The Third Horizon and Mutant: Year Zero (see "Sci-Fi RPG 'Coriolis: The Third Horizon'"); Coriolis will arrive in stores in February 2017.

Earlier this year, Modiphius partnered with another Swedish company, Jarnringen, to publish the dark fantasy RPG Symbaroum (see "'Symbaroum' Goes Worldwide").
