Next week, Rio Grande Games will release the English-language version of Concordia:  Gallia et Corsica, the third expansion for Mac Gerdts’ critically acclaimed Concordia.

Concordia:  Gallia et Corsica offers two new ways to play the game, thanks to the expansion’s two new game maps.  The Gallia map forces players to start small, with a single colonist, while Corsica features a very tight map with only 20 cities across eight provinces.  Both new maps can be played with the full range of players, but Corsica was specifically designed for two- or three-player games.

The new expansion requires the base game to play.  It was created by Concordia’s designer, Mac Gerdts.  MSRP is $24.95.

Set at the height of the Roman Empire, Concordia is an economic game for two to five players.  It was released in 2013 to a very favorable reception, earning a nomination for the coveted Kennerspiel des Jahres award in Germany (see “2014 ‘Spiel des Jahres’ Nominations”).  Earlier expansions include the similar twin-map Britannia & Germania expansion, and the meatier Salsa expansion released in 2015 (see “New Expansion for ‘Kennerspiel’ Nominated ‘Concordia’”).
