Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written by Rian Johnson, who will also direct (see “The Core 'Star Wars' Movies Will Chronicle the Skywalker Family”). The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman. J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski will executive produce.

The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 15 (see “Best in Shows--Q4 2017”).
