FX Networks is supporting the premiere of  the X-Men character drama Legion with several art-inspired initiatives including augmented reality murals in five cities, an exhibit in New York and limited edition posters available in select comic stores.

The five augmented reality murals will be located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The murals can “reveal the power of David Haller’s mind” by downloading the Blippar app onto a smartphone, and then pointing the device at the mural. The app will then take the user to a dedicated site with show content on Legion (see video below.)

A three-day art exhibit (Friday, January 27 – Sunday, January 29) will be held at the Villain warehouse in Brooklyn, New York. The Legion Where? House art installation will be inspired by the upcoming series’ themes including:

  • Forced perspective art piece by Michael Murphy
  • Found materials installation by Clemens Behr
  • Light and shadow installation by Kumi Yamashita
  • Legion Key Art Mural by David Flores
  • Multimedia installation inspired by the series

FX is also offering free limited edition posters (while supplies last) at 56 participating comic book stores nationwide.
