IDW Games will release the second in its series of Random Encounter card games, Seas of the Sea Chicken, in May.

Random Encounter:  Seas of the Sea Chicken is a fully stand-alone game and expansion, which can be used on its own or combined with the original Random Encounter:  Plains of the Troll King.  Like the original game, it features tongue-in-cheek retro pixilated style artwork.  The creatures in this version of the game have a nautical theme, with the likes of ghost pirate, giant clams, Vikings, and, naturally, sea chickens.

Designed by Random Encounter creator Jamie Keddie, Seas of the Sea Chicken expands the game by adding four new creature powers.  Games take about 20 minutes to play.  MSRP is $19.99.

The original Random Encounter was released early last year (see “‘Random Encounter’ Comes to IDW”).

In June, IDW will release an anthropomorphic deduction game, Purrrlock Holmes (see “Feline Deductions Abound in ‘Purrrlock Holmes’”).
