Ron Catapano of Ron's Comic World in Mount Holly, New Jersey comments on Marvel's recent renumbering of certain titles under their All-New Marvel NOW! initiative (see "'Hulk' #1 by Mark Waid & Mark Bagley" and "'Daredevil' Relaunch").
Will someone tell Marvel that changing the issue number back to #1 while continuing the story from the previous issue… IS NOT A RELAUNCH. It's changing the number to try to artificially inflate sales by making some people believe you've changed something in the book.
It's also annoying as hell to me as both a retailer and as a reader. If you feel it is necessary to renumber the books every few years, do away with the numbers and put the date on the cover.
