It looks like something’s going to happen to T’Challa, to make way for a new, female Black Panther, according to Black Panther writer Reginald Hudlin at the Comic Riffs blog at the Washington Post.  The female character will appear in the new Black Panther relaunch that kicks off in February. 

Hudlin wasn’t clear about what was going to happen to the current character.  “In the same way that he became the Black Panther because his father was assassinated and died before his time, the same could happen to T’Challa.”
