Tatyana Designs has opened its eleventh Bettie Page store and its first in New York City in the Bowery. The new store is in a trendy street location, across the street from Patricia Fields and John Varvatos. The Las Vegas-based chain has been opening stores based on the pin-up icon rapidly; this is its fifth new store in 2012. The first two stores were in Las Vegas, at Planet Hollywood and Caesar’s Palace. Although most of the stores are based in the western U.S., stores in Philadelphia, Boston, and now New York have been opened recently. The company favors prime street and mall locations.

The stores sell apparel, jewelry, accessories, and gifts inspired by the 1950s and Bettie Page for 18- to 35-year-old women. The company was launched by Russian-born fashion designer Tatyana Khomyakova and her husband Jan Glaser. It’s publicly traded via pink sheets, but is profitable.

The Bettie Page property continues to generate licensing revenue from products in many forms.  The pin-up queen herself passed away in 2008 (see "Bettie Page RIP").
