Walt Disney Studios claimed this date, along with several others, on May 7, 2019 as part of an extensive scheduling slate for Marvel Studios, 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, and Star Wars films (see “Disney Reserves Dates for Three New 'Star Wars' Features”). This way, none of its extensive portfolio of studios cannibalize their siblings’ time in the spotlight. This date was chosen for this Fox film.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

Warner Bros. announced this date in September 2018 for the Harley Quinn crusader movie that brings together Huntress, Rene Montoya and Black Canary.

Sonic The Hedgehog

Paramount announced a Q4 2019 date for a film based on the popular SEGA videogame character which will be directed by Jeff Fowler in February 2018, then delayed it to Q1 2020 after an outcry followed the depiction of the character in the film's first trailer. The film will be produced by Neal H. Moritz, with Deadpool director Tim Miller executive producing. There are plenty of licensed comics, board games and figures that feature Sonic and his friends Tails and Knuckles in the pipe.

Bloodshot

Sony announced this date for the live-action superhero movie Bloodshot based on the Valiant Entertainment comic. Vin Diesel will star in the title role, and Diesel’s Fast and the Furious producer Neal Moritz is also on board.

Call of the Wild

Disney-Pixar reserved this date in October 2015. The film will be set in a "suburban fantasy world" where elf brothers , voiced by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, go a quest to find out if there is magic still left in the world.

The Invisible Man
March 13
Universal announced this date for its remake of The Invisible Man, which will star Elisabeth Moss and Storm Reid. The picture will be produced by Jason Blum.
