Speakeasy Comics has signed with Diamond Book Distributors for exclusive worldwide distribution of English-language editions to the bookstore, library, warehouse, mass merchandise, specialty mass, and comic book store markets.

Speakeasy was recently formed by Dreamwave vet Adam Fortier; it is publishing primarily comic periodicals (see 'Speakeasy Announces First Release,' and 'Speakeasy Announces Hero') and in this announcement mentioned for the first time an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's works as a 2005 project.

Digital Manga has expanded its relationship with DBD.  In May, it announced a deal for DBD to handle book channel distribution of ten books, including four yaoi titles.  This week, DBD announced that the relationship had been expanded to distribute more manga books (including more yaoi titles), a new line of non-fiction edu-manga, and the Let's Draw Manga series.
