In a clever cross-promotion DC Comics is including images from the new Green Lantern film that opens on June 17th, 2011 as special features in the Green Lantern comic book.  Green Lantern #59 contains a full-page feature that includes a photo of Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond along with a short commentary from Geoff Johns who describes the impressions he felt upon visiting the Green Lantern set and seeing Sarsgaard turn a character that Johns had enjoyed writing about, but who was “never portrayed as frightening or as human” into a “formidable and very real force for fear.”

The Daily Blam Website not only revealed the Hector Hammond photo from Green Lantern #59, but also an image of Parallax that will be included in Green Lantern #61.  According to the official synopsis of the Green Lantern film, the planet-ravaging demonic parasite Parallax will play a major role in the film: “A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.”
