ADV has announced that the 12-episode anime series Innocent Venus will debut via The Anime Network's VOD (Video on Demand) service starting on August 9th.  A near future (2010) science fiction epic that bowed on Japanese TV last July, Innocent Venus takes place in a world ravaged by killer hurricanes where power has been seized by a group of autocratic technocrats known as Logos.  Two members of the elite force designed to protect the Logos power structure discover a girl who may hold the key to Earth's survival setting off a fast-moving chain of events that could lead to rebellion and potential liberation.

ADV plans to release the first of 3 Innocent Venus DVDs on August 21st.
