At Gen Con, ICv2 spoke with John Cadice, Co-Owner and Creative Director of Ninja Division, to learn about its upcoming board game Rail Raiders, as well as planned expansions for Super Dungeon Explore and a digital “Super Dungeon World" release.

Rail Raiders is a mash-up of sci-fi and classic Westerns in which the players assume the role of “space-train robbers,” competing with each other and with the “lawdogs” defending the trains.  The game system is designed to be easy to learn and fast-playing.  The box will include more than 30 Soda Pop miniatures, 100 game cards, 10 custom dice, 18 train car tiles, and game tokens.  The game will be for 2 - 4 players, and plays in about an hour.

Rail Raiders will be funded through an upcoming Kickstarter campaign, with trade release planned for the second quarter of 2016.

The company has three Super Dungeon Explore expansions releasing over the next few months: the Von Drakk Manor Level Box, Dungeon Tiles: Von Drakk Ghost House, and Dungeons of Crystalia (see “Three New ‘Super Dungeon Explore’ Expansions”).

Cadice also described a new joint effort with Underbite Studios, creating a PC-based tactical game called Super Dungeon Tactics, set in Ninja Division’s “Super Dungeon World” universe.

“We are going to be engaging the community with more Kickstarter products for the ‘Super Dungeon World’ later this year for physical products,” Cadice said when asked about digital and tabletop “Super Dungeon World” game overlap and interaction. “We’re going to look for opportunities to tie those in with digital products because we’ll be much closer to delivery of digital product when that’s ready as well. That could include a great many things without telling too much about what the product is and what it’s going to be.”
