Deadpool director Tim Miller is developing a solo film for Kitty Pryde. Miller will also potentially direct the film reports Collider. Details on plot were not revealed.

Miller is setting up the project at 20th Century Fox, and it remains to be seen how the Disney buyout -- which is still several months from being final -- will impact the film (see “Disney-Fox Deal Signed”). Further, development is no guarantee the film will come to fruition.

Meanwhile, back in the comics world, Kitty is busy leading the X-Men in X-Men: Gold (see “Jean Grey Leads the Red Team”) and reuniting with the original members of Excalibur (see “Excalibur Reunites”).

Kitty Pryde was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. She has the mutant ability to phase through objects and people and was the youngest member of the X-Men. She has used the codenames Shadowcat, Sprite, and Ariel and had a short-lived stint as Star-Lord. The character has previously appeared on the silver screen in X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Ellen Page notably played the role in the latter two films.
