The battles in CMON’s soon-to-be-released A Song of Ice & Fire:  Tabletop Miniatures Game are going to get even bigger thanks to the organized play-supporting Game Night Kit and five unit expansions all planned for Q3.

Originally planned for release this month (see “Stark and Lannister Clash for Control of the Seven Kingdoms”) but now planned for Q3, the A Song of Ice & Fire:  Tabletop Miniatures Game will allow players to create battles between the factions of George R. R. Martin’s famed fantasy world, beginning with House Stark and House Lannister.

To support the release of the Starter Set, CMON is offering A Song of Ice & Fire:  Tabletop Miniatures Game—Game Night Kit #01.  The kit comes with exclusive prizes and promotional items for stores that want to run a game night event, as well as some goodies for the event coordinators.  Included are 25 plastic banners, 5 copies of an alternate sculpt version of Roose Bolton, 5 Roose Bolton stat cards, a welcome letter, a promotional poster, and a sticker announcing the event.

Only members of the CMON Play Retailer Outreach Program can order the Game Night Kit.  Price has not been announced.

The first five expansion sets will also release in Q3, each featuring a different unit of warriors for use in the game, all at $34.99 MSRP:

The Stark Sworn Swords are the backbone of the Stark army, known for their unswerving loyalty.  This boxed set comes with a total of 13 unpainted plastic miniatures, including 12 soldiers and 1 captain, a unit card, an attachment card, and a movement tray.

Also fighting under the Stark banner are the Tully Sworn Shields, offering their shieldwall tactics to Stark commanders.  12 unpainted plastic miniatures make up this set, along with a unit card and movement tray.

The other side naturally receives the Lannister Guards, clad in the best heavy armor gold can buy.  This unit comes complete with 12 guardsmen and 1 captain, a unit card, an attachment card, and a movement tray.

Long range firepower comes with the Lannister Crossbowmen, armed with those powerful weapons of war.  There are 12 crossbowmen included in the box, along with a unit card and movement tray.

The last kit in this wave is the mercenary force of Bolton Cutthroats, which can be hired by any army.  There are 12 mercenaries in this set plus 1 Draedfort Captain, a unit card, an attachment card, and a movement tray.
