Variety is reporting that Angelina Jolie has signed on to star opposite James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman in Timur Bekmambetov's film adaptation of Mark Millar's Wanted. Shooting is set to begin in Eastern Europe in May with Jolie playing an assassin who acts as a mentor to McAvoy's character (see 'McAvoy Set for Wanted'). According to Variety Dean Georgaris (Lara Croft Tomb Raider) rewrote the script to beef up Jolie's role.
Jolie is also set to star in The Changeling for director Clint Eastwood, which starts shooting in the fall. Jolie's rapidly filling schedule could mean that she won't have time to star (as has been often rumored) in Sin City 2, and rumors abound that she has been replaced by Rachel Weisz for the key role of Ava Lord in the Sin City sequel.
