At the New York Comic Con, Viz Media announced a variety of launches planned for the coming months.

In April, the Shojo Beat imprint will publish the first volume of Hatori Bisco's Millenium Snow series with Volume 2 following in July.  The story looks at the relationship between a terminally ill teenage girl and her vampire friend who hates blood and humankind.

June 5th will see the launch of the Yurara, Chika Shiomi's 5-volume series about a ghost hunter.  A new volume will be released every three months afterwards.

Also on June 5th, the Viz Media imprint will launch Hoshin Engi, which originally appeared in serialized form in Shonen Jump magazine.  The 23 volume series focuses on a feudal land where a witch controls the king.  The Confederation of Immortal Masters conspires to take down the witch by sending a young master wizard after her.  It inspired a 26 episode anime series.

Another series with anime connections is Sorachi Hideaki's Gin Tama, which will release under Shonen Jump Advanced on July 3rd.  The fourth-wall-busting story has humorous characters who, even though they must battle evil alien invaders, can do it while punning and cracking jokes.  The series is currently ongoing with 16 volumes in Japan, as well as an ongoing 44-episode anime series.

Shonen Jump Advanced will also launch the Strawbery 100% series on July 3rd.  The first volume of the Kawashita Mizuki-written series focuses on a teenage filmmaker's chance encounter with a girl and his desire to recreate that perfect moment on film.

Also in July, Shojo Beat will launch Nakahara Aya's 7-volume Love Com series and VIZ Media will launch Togari.  The latter title's protagonist is a former murderer sent to Hell who gets a second chance at life if he can collect 108 evil spirits in as many days.

August sees the launch of the Kano Yasuhiro's 6-volume Pretty Face series from Shonen Jump Advanced.  Due to a series of accidents and mistakes, the main character has a new 'pretty face' that looks like his crush's long lost sister.  He must find the sister before he can pursue his love.

Just in time for Halloween, in October Viz Signature will launch two Junji Ito horror titles -- GYO and Uzumaki, while VIZ Media will release the one-off horror story Portus.  The terror in these stories will come from a variety of unique areas -- from dead fish to a videogame that is literally a killer.
