Tokyopop has announced the May 2007 release of Warriors: The Lost Warrior, the first graphic novel series to be launched under the auspices of the agreement between Tokyopop and HarperCollins (see 'Tokyopop Signs Alliance With HarperCollins'). Created by Dan Jolley and James Barry, The Lost Warrior manga is based on Erin Hunter's best-selling children's book series, Warriors, which targets readers from 9-12 with the exciting adventures of a band of warrior cats.
The first book in the manga series, The Lost Warrior tells the untold tale of the feline hero Graystripe: his life with humans and his ultimate quest to be reunited with his clan.
Graystripe's story in the manga series bridges the gap between Hunter's The New Prophecy (the sixth volume in the series) and the next installment of the Warriors novel series Power of Three.
