Rocket USA has announced the first two tin action figures in its Simpsons line of metal collectibles.  There's smoke on the water indeed as Homer goes heavy metal in this colorful 8-1/2' tin walking wind-up version of everyone's favorite paternal lout.  Check out the packaging, which is almost as cool as the figure itself.  This tin-toy beauty, which hearkens back to the golden age of toymaking, will retail for a very reasonable price of $24.95.  The long-running Simpsons TV series has scored some of its best merchandising marks ever with the current run of Playmates Simpsons toys, which continually place items in ICv2's Top Ten Toy list every month (see 'Top Ten Toys').  Simpsons collectors are definitely on the hunt for cool Simpsons toys and these metallic mementos go straight for the collector's jugular with their cool retro demeanor.

A second metal Simpsons figure that will also be available in February features Springfield's genial TV host/clown/fast food magnate, Krusty, who appears in a special 'Krusty-In-the-Box' format.  This metallic beauty is sure to make fans forget all about that generic 'Jack,' who previously cornered the market in this sort of toy.  If you want a weasel that pops, you can't do better than Krusty-the-Clown.  Krusty will also retail for $24.95, which represents a lot of Krusty Burgers, but is still very reasonable for a toy of this size and quality.
