The Sci Fi Channel is planning a number of events at the upcoming New York Comic Con including a Battlestar Galactica Panel at 11am on Saturday, February 24th that will feature Tricia Helfer (Number Six) and James Callis (Gaius Baltar).  In addition to the BSG panel, SCI FI will sponsor SCI FI Friday Night at the convention center on February 23 from 8-10pm, screening exclusive sneak peek episodes of Battlestar Galactica and its new series, The Dresden Files -- two days before they air on SCI FI.  Star of The Dresden Files Paul Blackthorne, who is perhaps best known for his role as Stephen Saunders on the third season of 24, will introduce the screening.

The Sci Fi Channel also plans to hold open auditions for new contestants to compete on the second season of Stan Lee's Who Wants to Be a Superhero?  Potential contestants should be prepared to prove their mettle -- revealing the true nature of their superhuman abilities and invoking the noble credos by which they live. Auditions will be held on Friday February 23rd from 4 to 6pm, and again on Saturday February 24th from 1pm to 4pm.
