Villard Books, a division of Random House, has acquired the trade paperback rights to Mouse Guard: Fall 1152 by David Petersen.  Villard will publish its trade paperback edition of MouseGuard: Fall 1152 (cover prices $19.95), which will collect the first 6 issues of the Mouse Guard comic book along with 12 pages of bonus material, in February of 2008. 

Archaia Studio Press will publish the 192-page hardcover edition of Mouse Guard: Fall 1152 (cover price $24.95) in April, 2007.  ASP will also publish a new six-issue Mouse Guard series, Mouse Guard: Winter 1152, on a bimonthly basis starting in July, 2007.

Tricia Narwani, who acquired Mouse Guard for Villard, was ecstatic at the prospect of publishing Petersen's epic tale, which has tremendous all ages appeal and has received rave notices (see 'Mouse Guard Gets Noticed'), 'As soon as I read Mouse Guard, it was easy to see why it's already enchanted so many readers.
