Bandai's Ben 10 CCG (see 'Bandai Nabs 'Ben 10' CCG License') debuted in Toys R Us stores last weekend, and will appear in other mass market outlets in a couple of weeks.  The launch SKUs are Starter Decks ($9.99) and Booster Packs ($3.49).

The TV show, which has been airing both on Saturday mornings on Cartoon Network and on the network's after-school Miguzi block, is targeted at a relatively young (5-9) audience.  The Ben 10 CCG targets players 8 and up.  Because of the young demographic of the target audience, Bandai has not solicited orders for the game from the hobby channel.

The game is substantially different from other Bandai CCG game engines.  One unique feature is a time limit, by which each time the player is transformed, he/she has only three turns to be the alien until turning back into the regular Ben.

The XLR8 12" Figure
will appear in June

Bandai has also expanded its 2007 Ben 10 toy line (see 'Bandai's Animation-Driven Toy Lines' for info on its initial releases), which now includes 4' figures, 6: feature figures, 8' transforming figures, 12' figures, transforming alien ships, role-play toys, playsets, and alien collectibles.
