It won't create the same kind of negative publicity that some other crimes blamed on roleplaying games have, but an accused armed robber in Northern Ireland blames his actions on the blurring of reality and his play of the Shadowrun RPG.  In the case, reported by the BBC, the accused robber held up the staff at a lingerie store at knifepoint disguised in a wig, hat and glasses, making off with 'two sets of bras, knickers, suspender belts and stockings.' 

The defendant told the court that he may have blurred the line between reality and his play in Shadowrun, in which his character is a criminal shaman named Beho that carries a small Japanese sword.  He denied responsibility, while granting that Beho may have intended to rob the shop.  The defendant is quoted as saying, 'I can't believe that I personally did that... and I deeply regret that.  If I had sought some help I would've avoided that in its entirety.'
