IDW Publishing has announced a joint publishing venture with Kiss star Gene Simmons.  Simmons will serve as creator for four series, and his son, 17 year-old Nick Simmons, will write and draw one of the series for the imprint's launch.

Beginning in July, the first issue of Gene Simmons' House of Horrors, a quarterly horror anthology with intro by Simmons, will feature a Todd McFarlane cover and stories by Chris Ryall, Tom Waltz, Dwight MacPherson, Sean Taylor, Leah Moore (with John Reppion), and Nick Simmons.

Other series include Zipper, created by Gene Simmons and written by Tom Walz set to launch in August and Dominatrix, created by Gene Simmons, written by Sean Taylor with art by Alex Garner set to launch in September.  There are no release dates set for Indy: Race of the Galaxies, created by Gene Simmons and written by Tom Waltz, or Nick Simmons' Skullduggery written and drawn by Nick Simmons.

Simmons is a life-long comics fan and has been involved with various projects over the years, most recently with the newly created The Kiss Comics Group formed with fellow Kiss-member Paul Stanley and Scott Mitchell Rosenberg's Platinum Studios (see 'Kiss Forms Comic Book Company').
