In addition to using Free Comic Book Day to launch Robert Kirkman's creator-owned Astounding Wolf-Man series with a free #1 issue, Image Comics is sending Kirkman off on a series of cross-country signing events that starts on May 4-5th (11 pm to 1 am) at Jim Hanley's Universe across from the Empire State Building in New York City, followed by a stops at Graham Cracker Comics in Chicago (11 am to 1 pm. May 5th), Mile High Comics in Denver (7 pm to 9 pm, May 5th) before ending up with two additional appearances on May 6th at Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles (noon to 2 pm) and at Comic Relief in Berkeley (from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm).

By holding the whirlwind tour in conjunction with Free Comic Book Day (see '44 Titles Available for Free Comic Book Day') Image will be able to provide fans with free copies of Astounding Wolf-Man #1 for Kirkman (Walking Dead, Marvel Zombies), the medium's leading horror scribe, to sign.
