Citing what it called the 'large printing houses distancing themselves' from the backlist of classic science fiction and fantasy novels, Paizo Publishing unveiled its new imprint, Planet Stories, which will concentrate on reprinting classic science fiction novels. The first Planet Stories releases, which will have a cover price of $12.99, will be released in August and will include Almuric, an Edgar Rice Burroughs-esque science fiction adventure by Robert E. Howard set on a savage planet, and the Anubis Murders, a fantasy/mystery filled with warring wizards written by Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons.
Paizo plans on releasing one science fiction novel per month under its Planet Stories imprint starting in September with future releases including Michael Moorcock's City of the Beast/Warrior of Mars and C.L. Moore's Black God's Kiss.
